Preston Gets a Haircut

Although it didn't really seem like it, Preston actually did need a haircut. Dustin and I took him this morning to get his first. We brought toys, snacks and juice ... and braced ourselves for the struggle. But there was no struggle, no fighting, no screaming. I was shocked! Other than the curious glances at the water bottle, scissors and clippers, he sat pretty darn still. Doesn't he look so handsome!!

Christmas Day

The roads weren't too bad on Christmas day, so we headed back to Volga for brunch. After that we decided to go and play in the snow. I don't remember the last time I played in the snow. It was pretty darn fun!

Now if that darn interstate would open we'll head to Vermillion so we can have the Beringer Christmas.

We celebrated my 30th birthday on the 27th down at Cubby's. My family and several friends from work came down ... it was a great time! Thanks to everyone that came and made my birthday so wonderful. Turning 30 wasn't so bad after all!

We celebrated Preston's first birthday at my parents house. Thank you to everyone that came and made the day so special for Preston. I think he had a blast! And he didn't even get sick from the two cupcakes he ate!

I still can't believe that he's one already. This last year has gone by so fast. At the same time, watching him grow and seeing his personality develop has been simply amazing. I love that little guy so much!
