I think she knew it was her Daddy's birthday and that this little milestone would be the perfect present!

Easter

We headed South to Yankton this year for Easter. We had a great weekend with the Beringer clan and it was fun to see how big our nephew, Cyrus, is getting. He turned 1 a few weeks ago and is just starting to walk! We were able to talk to Bryan Saturday night as well. It was great to hear from him ... he'll be home in just a few short months!

 Preston wasn't being the most cooperative during pictures (shocking, I know). Lilli Jo and Cyrus both looked over at him when I snapped this and I swear they were thinking "Dude, cooperate!"

The Easter Bunny was able to find all the grandkids at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Preston got some Transformers, Bumblebee and Optimus Prime (Uncle Prime in Preston's words). Lilli got a new teething toy and a mirror for the car!

We got home early enough on Sunday that the kids and I were able to go to my parent's house to see my aunt and uncles - Mike and Louise were home from England on Spring Break and Don and Shelly came up from Kansas City.



I'm 8 Months Old Today!

Lilli Jo is almost ready to crawl!! She gets up on her hands and knees and rocks like there's no tomorrow. She goes backwards and can turn herself around while on her tummy.

Shortly after her 7 month "birthday" she started sitting up all by herself.

She loves to clap her hands and has started shaking her head "no". She thinks she's pretty funny when she does this and I have to admit, it is pretty funny. Mostly because she always seems to do it at the right moment in our conversations.

All the games were inside the wellness center and then the egg hunt was outside. The egg hunt was insane, as most are with all those kids running around. Preston ended up with three eggs (each kid was supposed to get 10) and none of them had a prize inside, just candy. Preston was heartbroken.  :)

Or is it summer? So hard to believe that it's the first of April! 

This weather we've been having is beautiful, so we spent some time outside enjoying it after church today.

Dustin got the lawn mowed while the kids played before nap time.

The neighbor girl, Amy, took Preston to the park for a bit and then he played in their yard some. Amy's mom does daycare, so she has all kinds of fun toys to play with!

Preston decided he needed to jump in the pack 'n play with Lilli Jo for a bit.

Now Preston is napping and Lilli Jo is content in her little chair, playing with her toys. We'll be heading to my parents house later this afternoon for an early Easter dinner. Not sure what is all on the menu, but mom is making some fudge brownies for dessert and we'll be bringing some homemade vanilla ice cream (made with Jamaican vanilla). Yum!
