Sunday School Christmas Program

Santa & His Reindeer

Santa was in town last weekend!
The Larson kids' Christmas party was last Friday night. We had Allie and Turner for the weekend, so we all piled in to the car and headed out to see him. But first, we had to stop and see the reindeer.

Then it was off to see Santa!

The kids got some pretty fun presents from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Turner didn't want to be in the picture. :(

After presents, the kids had some fun with the different crafts set up. Here they're making Christmas trees. Yummy Christmas trees!

Halloween!

So, I'm a bit behind on posting these. Here we are, on Thanksgiving, and I'm finally getting around to posting Halloween pictures. Such is life. :)

Preston's class had a scarecrow party the day of Halloween.
I got this "cowboy" hat quite some time ago and it worked pretty great for Preston!
And thank goodness for an old eyeliner pencil hiding in my medicine cabinet. It worked perfect for his scarecrow face!

Miss Lilli Jo in her brother's old Trick or Treat shirt.
She was a bit upset with me because I wouldn't paint her face that morning.

Preston requested to be a zombie again this year.
I certainly wasn't going to argue about not having to buy a costume again!
Quite honestly, he could end up being a zombie again next year...
this costume was still pretty big on him.

And our pretty, little lady bug.
(With her face painted finally.)
My friend Monica got this costume from her mom, but it was too big for her daughter.
Lilli loved it!!

It was a whirlwind Halloween night, but we had a great time and the kids got tons of candy!

A Super Party for Super Kid!

We celebrated Preston's birthday last Saturday at the bowling alley.
Preston had so much fun there last year that he requested it again. We had just as much fun this year!

Grandma Mary made this "super" birthday cake - chocolate with a delicious Nutella layer!

Since Allie and Preston's birthdays are so close together (just 10 days apart), we decided to celebrate Allie too. She turns 8 tomorrow!!
She requested a traditional Norwegian ring cake from Great-Grandma Bev.

Goofy boys!

My two favorite girls!

Grandma Bev, putting the finishing touches on the ring cake.

This is how you celebrate birthdays!

We were blessed to have all of Preston's grandparents and great-grandparents there to celebrate his birthday!

And, of course, Aunt Cole!

And with Grandma & Grandpa

Last year, I never got a picture of Preston with me or Dustin, so I made sure to get one this year!

Thank you to our family for coming to celebrate Preston and Allie!
We had a wonderful day, made so much more wonderful with your presence!

Preston is 6!!!

This little man turned six last week!

He woke up to streamers we had hung in his doorway while he was sleeping and balloons all over his floor.
Lucky for us, the kids sleep like their mom... remember that line from Christmas Vacation courtesy of Uncle Lewis? "You couldn't hear a dump truck driving through a nitroglycerin plant." Yeah, that's how we sleep.
Unlike me, they like to wake up super-early.
Just before 5:00 am on his birthday we heard, "What the heck is this?!" Ha!

Dustin and I got Preston a basketball hoop and basketball.
He loved it!

And he's pretty darn good. :)

Happy 6th Birthday, Preston James!!

Lilli Jo Goes to Preschool!

Can you believe this little peanut is in Preschool already?! I know I can't!

She's had some big adjustments in her life with Preston no longer at daycare and starting school herself.
She's handling the adjustments quite well... Evidently she thinks she's in charge at daycare now that Preston is gone.
I can tell you with certainty Preston was never in charge so I'm not quite sure why she would think she is!

She started Preschool this Tuesday, September 2nd. She loves it and loves her teacher, Miss Kelly (Preston's first year teacher as well)!

All ready to go!

Walking in to school.

We found her cubby and she hung her backpack (pack pack) up all by herself!
