The Best Way to Spread Christmas Cheer...

Is Singing Loud For All To Hear!!

Preschool Concert
12.11.13

So handsome!

Lilli Jo all ready to go to Preston's concert.

They can be so sweet to each other...
when they want to be.

Preston's favorite song from the Preschool Christmas concert... The Little Drummer Boy

And they did the cutest little Christmas rhyme.
"I took a lick of my peppermint stick and was it ever yummy. It used to hang on my Christmas tree but now it's in my tummy!"

Sunday School Christmas Program
12.15.13

Again, so sweet!

Preston's favorite... Go Tell it on the Mountain!
The kids did such a great job at the Sunday School program!
I led the bell choir this year and they did a great job with that too!

Santa!

Santa and Mrs. Claus came to town earlier this month!

Allie and Turner

 Preston

Lilli was not very happy about sitting with Santa and Mrs. Claus...

Until she got a present. :)

Allie got EXACTLY what she wanted from Santa!

Lilli and her Barbie
You can see Turner's dinosaur in the background... evidently I didn't get a picture of him with it.
In my defense, it was a crazy night!

Preston got a cool Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle

An excellent night with Santa and Mrs. Claus. We took all the kids to see Santa's reindeer afterwards, but it was too darn cold to get any pictures. We spent about five minutes, if that, with the reindeer.
Maybe Christmas should be in the summer?!

Halloween!

Coloring their pumpkin from Grandma & Grandpa Bjerke.
I think next year we'll paint our pumpkins. I did carve a small one that Dustin picked up for me, but I forgot to take a picture. Oops.
Chiefs logo, just like last year. :)

Cutest little monkey ever and the scariest zombie skeleton I've ever seen!

If you remember, Preston was a monkey when he was two. Lilli Jo kept telling everyone that she was going to be a princess for Halloween. However, this costume fit her and she looked so cute... she just  had to wear it. I told her she's a princess every day, so for Halloween she could be a monkey. She embraced it and loved it!

Preston picked out his costume all by himself.  He doesn't seem to be scared of these things, which is good. He did manage to scare a little boy while we were at Grandma & Grandpa's house though (unintentionally, he certainly didn't mean to).

All in all, it was a GREAT Halloween! The kids had a blast, got a ton of candy and everyone was thoroughly exhausted when we got home!

Preston's Birthday Bash!

We had Preston's birthday party at the bowling alley on Saturday.
It was SO MUCH FUN!!

Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Beringer were able to come up to the
party and we're so glad they did!

My beautiful niece, Allie.
Can you believe she is going to be 7-years old on Friday?!?!

Miss Lilli
She's dancing here. She loves to dance!

The birthday cake!
Not only did it look awesome, it tasted amazing!
Grandma Mary makes the best cakes!!

Happy Birthday, Preston!

Grandma Mary and the birthday boy

Bowling is so much fun!

Some of the guests

Grandma Cindy, who is quite the bowler, helping Preston get things lined up.

Grandpa Jeff, being silly I'm sure!

Lilli loved to sit like this and then the others started to as well.
We thought it would be a super-cute picture.
This was the best one I could get.

Singing to the birthday boy!

The candles were really cool, they burned the color of the candle!

Preston is a pretty good bowler!

Turner
I love this kid!

Time for presents and boy, did he get some great presents!

Lilli in her favorite spot of the night.

I'm pretty sure they were getting along here and not
fighting over the bowling balls or whose turn it was. ;)

Fun times!

Thank you to everyone that came to celebrate with us!

Preston is 5!!

Happy 5th Birthday, Preston James!!

I'm kind of in shock that Preston is already 5 years old. Forgive me while I embrace the cliché, but time really has flown by. Sure, I miss the days when Preston was a baby but I've been able to watch him grow into this amazing boy. I certainly don't want to rush things, but every day I look forward to watching him grow more and more.

He's smart, so smart. He's funny. He's imaginative and creative. He has a flare for the dramatics (I don't want to admit it's from me, but I think we all know it is). He gets in trouble. A lot. He picks on his sister and in the next breath, is so sweet to her.

This little boy made me a mom and he stole my heart from day one. I am so very blessed to call him my son and I love him. To the moon and back. So much more than he will ever know.

Dustin and I got Preston his very own tablet. He was SO excited.
Now it's a battle of limiting screen time.  :)

We took Preston to Taco John's for his birthday supper. We went there on a field trip last year with school and ever since, he LOVES tacos. Which is fine with us. Taco night has become quite popular at our house.

His birthday party is Saturday at the bowling alley.
We can't wait to celebrate this little man with our family and friends!!
