Gavin & Kaylee's Birthday Party!

We headed to Volga yesterday to celebrate Gavin & Kaylee's birthdays. Their parents, Justin & Joana, are good friends of Nichole & Randy's and have become our friends as well.

 

Gavin & Kaylee had a bounce house and the kids LOVED it! Preston didn't leave it until we made him eat supper and then I coaxed him out two more times for a brownie and a s'more.  :)

A perfect day on our Memorial Day weekend!!

The Trees Come Down

We removed a couple trees in front of our house a few weeks ago, one that has been quite troublesome since we moved in and one that died a few years ago.

We removed the tree directly in front of the house (the trouble maker) and the one to the left.

This one took quite a bit of work to come down.

Tree #2 took very little effort.

The guy that did the work (a neighbor of ours) was kind of surprised that this tree hadn't fallen yet in the wind.

We have TONS of fire wood now!

Fishing with Dad & Grandpa

We headed down to Yankton a couple weeks ago to see Grandma & Grandpa with the moose. While we were there we took in a fishing derby. Preston was very excited to go fishing with his Grandpa and his Dad. Unfortunately, it was really cold so his excitement didn't last long. But he did catch one fish and he was pretty darn proud of that.

 

He can't wait for the weather to finally get nice so we can head down and do some more fishing on the river. Lilli Jo even got a fishing pole so she can join in on the fun too.
